Personally, I experience astrology at different layers. One layer is: inner behaviours and outside circumstances. These are cyclical in nature. Our inner selves respond in certain patterns while the outside circumstances repeat again and again. The nine planets manifest as our own responses to Life, and shaping our lives into different forms. While the nakshatras manifest as the energies that surround us, nourish us and shape us. We shape our Lives and Life, in turn, shapes us.
Another layer of experience, for me, has been - the energy. Jyotish puts huge weight onto the Dashas. And I have experienced nakshatras (through the planets) manifesting as a surrounding theme of life for a certain period of time (a theme energy, a background energy), often coinciding with a specific Dasha.
One more layer of experience has been - the desires. Desires that sit beneath our patterns. Most of our lives, we are run by our conscious and unconscious patterns - the way we think, the way we respond, the way we aspire. But when we try and mute the noise of these patterns, we can notice our inherent and deep seated desires. These desires are not cyclical, and are like an arrow shot from a bow - starting from somewhere, going somewhere. These desires often take root in us during our infancy, before much of the shaping and forming. These desires can be vaguely seen through astrology - but only to some extent.
Below are all my writings related to astrology. These articles contain my musings, thought experiments and imaginary adventures in the realms of Jyotish.
One point of thought: Astrology is an indicative subject. It is here to indicate a path, it will not give you a complete picture, a full story and a true truth. It will indicate to you where to look. You must do the looking, the seeking and the work of knowing yourself. Studying jyotish to understand Life can never replace actually experiencing and living the Life.
